The Parador Turístico Santa Rosa is located in the town of Homún, it is located on a large plot of land where all the spaces are well distributed and designed for you to spend a fun day with your family or friends.
First of all, the reception is located on a high mound where they built a Mayan house where you can pay your admission to the place and find out about the activities you can do and all the care measures you should take during your visit.
Behind you will immediately see a huge restaurant that serves typical food from the region and the parking lot that is covered for greater security of your vehicle. It also has very well marked bathrooms and showers as they are decorated with a beautiful mural, further down there is a palapa with hammocks for those who want to relax and rest after all that swimming or just to hang out.
Fenced with wooden sticks, the entrance to the cenote is marked. It is a hole in the ground through which you must descend through wooden stairs that will lead you to a platform that has been built to fully admire and appreciate the vault and also to throw some dives at you from above.
As it is an underground cenote, not much natural light enters, so they have placed artificial lights in cold tones to set the scene, giving life and color to the stalactites and stalagmites that are hanging from the ceiling and in the surroundings of the place.
It is shaped like a semi-circle which contains its crystal clear waters in blue tones, it has a low part, but it quickly becomes deep so we recommend you keep your life jacket on at all times.
