Cenotes Yucatan
The entire Yucatan Peninsula is surrounded by immense underground rivers that feed, give life and protect the mountains that surround this place. Over the years and as it has been inhabited, freshwater cenotes have been found, open, underground and in caves throughout the length and breadth of the territory. Only in the city of Mérida can they be found. visit 2 cenotes, there are also a few in the surrounding area, but without a doubt there are 3 towns that contain hundreds of cenotes, we refer toCuzama, Homún and Cenotillo. The most visited cenotes are those located between the city of Valladolid and the archaeological zone of Chichen Itza, the latter are those that are located in the haciendas that are now used as hotels and the third parties are the ones who have a peculiar way of taking you to visit them, that is, those who still use the “Truck”, which is a bagon pulled by a horse on a rail road. Each cenote offers you something different, but all of them are full of history, fun and relaxation.
